Personal Statement

My goal and/or dream is to go to a college in which I can recieve my B.S. in Pre-Physical Therapy, Kinesiology & Exercise Science, or Sports Medicine. After that I would like to obtain a D.P.T. or a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the same college. I aspire to help others return to an active life after injury, accident or surgery. I would like to work with pediatric patients, sports teams or in a private practice. My ultimate dream would be to be on staff as a physical therapist for Team USA in the Olympics. While in college, I would like to compete in swimming at the collegiate level. I see myself in the pool for my entire life and to being able to pursue swimming at the collegiate level is something I aspire to do.

Awards and Activities

  • AwardsInducted in my schools NHS (National Honor Society) chapter. I have achieved my Academic Block Letter as a Sophmore. I have also been on the honor roll at all of my schools for my entire education.
  • ActivitiesI am a part of my school's NHS (National Honor Society) chapter. The goal of NHS is to volunteer in our area and to represent our high school honorably. We take part in projects for the community like river-clean-ups, blood drives and 5k runs. Also, I participate in a volunteer swim lessons program called "mini-gators". Previously I have volunteered for a year at an assisted living in my area called Bruceville Terrace. As a junior in high school, I am Junior Class Officer and I help coordinate events for the junior class, such as Prom. Also, I aspire to be Unity Day Chairman next year for my school. Unity Day is a day where we "break the barriers that hold us apart" and unify our school campus. I aspire to be the person that would coordinate and lead these events at my school among other evemts at my school. Aside from that, I have been a part of my schools "Link Crew" Freshmen Orientation program in which I mentored students into their first year of high school. My Leadership qualities started in 6th grade as a Conflict Mediator and have continued to grow as I have aged and I plan on continuing my leadership qualitlies in and out of the pool.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
