My name is Alex. I'm a competitive swimmer. I began swimming competitively in my freshman year after high school swimming had come to an end. I'm going into my senior year and over my short period of competitive swimming I have made great strides that my coaches, parents, and peers have recognized. I have all my state times and I'm very close to making sectional cuts in my 100 and 200 breaststroke, my best stroke. I'm working on perfecting my IM, focusing on perfecting my fly and back stroke. I also completed the Alcatraz Swim near the end of my 7th grade year, which was the point at which i decided swim was my sport.
Swimming is my number one priority, besides my family and academics. I will do anything and everything to become the best swimmer I can become. I do whatever my coaches ask of me without question and push myself beyond any limit to get where I need to be. I have been told by my coaches that because I became competitive a little later than most swimmers that my best is yet to come! the progress in have shown supports their opinions. I refuse to ever back down from any challenge put in front of me.
