Personal Statement

I have grown up with a ball at my feet and playing on a field. I have been playing soccer from the age of four and have always held a passion for it. Soccer has taught me many things, how to push through low times and what it takes to excel on and off the field. Since my freshman year of high school I decided I want to take my career to the next level. I have played for many teams from my local club, varsity high school team to my state team. By playing with so many different people I have seen a leadership trait come out of me and I have learned, without people pushing me I wouldn’t be where I am today. I have many goals this upcoming season, one being a member of the All-State team. I want to finish out high school with a 3.85+ GPA then peruse the path of academics and an opportunity to play soccer at the next level. Soccer has helped with many lows especially my torn hamstring, having that driving force to get back out of the turf keep me going. The dedication and accountability on the field helps me transfer those skills over to the classroom and excel. I love the opportunities it opens up to meet new people and travel new places. I am hoping to encourage others at the same time learning from others as I look to take the next steps in my career.
