Now as a Sophmore in high school, I am really starting to pick up on areas of soccer and also academics that I needed to improve on that I had not known before. Academically, I have been pushing myself lately with more advanced classes, but I really enjoy it. I am positive that I would want to attend college in the future, but I am not yet sure on a certain field of study. My whole life I had been homeschooled and done online schooling, so when I first started going to school in 7th grade it was tough at first. However, my academics always stood out as I always set high goals for myself and I do not regret homeschooling at all because of all the things I learned from it, including adapting to a completely new environment when I did go to school. I feel confident that I would be prepared in all aspects for when I attend college in the future.
I started playing soccer when I was only 5 years old because of my father and I enjoyed it so much that I just kept progressing onward from there. Now, I play for one of the best club teams in Wisconsin and a high school with possibly the best conference in the state for our division. There have been times in my soccer career when everything was against me and I was down on myself, but I have always come back even stronger as a person and as an athlete. One thing I believe about playing any sport is that building relationships with your teammates and coaches helps a team perform as seamlessly as possible. Not even as far as best friends, but having a mutual respect for your teammates and coaches is very important in my eyes. I am excited for the new challenges that I will experience by having the opportunity to play collegiate soccer and I am constantly working to get to that point in life.
