My name is Trey Short and I am currently a Junior at Buckhannon-Upshur High School in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Playing college soccer has been one of my goals ever since I realized it was a good possibility for me. Some of my in game traits that I find myself excelling at are my abilities to keep calm on the ball and read the game. My favorite super hero is Captain America because of his ability to lead, which I think is the most important aspect of a team. Every team needs a leader and I have been the stand out leader of most of my teams. I was awarded all state honorable mention as a sophomore(defender) and as a junior(midfielder); and second team all conference as a junior. Also as a junior I was awarded with first team all conference as a place kicker on the football team. I have the desire to win and better myself on and off the field. The ideal college for me would be one with a strong athletic and academic program where I can be myself and excel. I feel as if I play more for the team than for myself because without them where would I be? I would do whatever it takes to win (within the rules of the game) and anything for my teammates. I'm not one to brag about my abilities but I will use them the best I can to obtain my goals in life and to achieve tasks given to me. Thank you for reading my personal statement and any consideration you may give me.
Sincerely,
Trey Short
