Personal Statement

I am Brody Fitzsimmons, a 2016 JC transfer from Bellevue College and previously Bonney Lake High School (3A Washington State Champions).  I've played for 3 state finalist teams, winning Two Championships.   I also play U-23 ball for PacNW and South Sound Shock.  Because of my speed, I usually play Winger or Outside Mid but I have played Outside Back in the past. I grew up playing Premier Division 1 soccer, was first team all league my senior year and #2 scoring in league.  I am a durable player and haven't missed a game in over 6 years due to injury.  Because of my skill set and last two years of college soccer experience, I plan to have an immediate impact for whatever team I will be playing for in Fall of 2016.

I have an extensive resume (see BIO) and have played for some extremely successful European and American Coaches. I am very grateful for all the "soccer savy," they gave me.  The thing I am most known for is my speed.   I ran a 4.4” -40 yd dash as a sophomore in High School, a 16.35" 3 mile cross country and I work out 3 - 5 times per week to continue to increase my strength and speed.  I have great ball control and distribution skills and am an extremely accurate passer.  I have “field” awareness and bring great pressure to the opposition.  I am very efficient and effective getting the ball down field and in front of the goal, by crossing, passing up or taking on the defense.  I make the most of my chances and am a team player.  Although I am mostly a Wing/Midfield, I play good defense when needed.  Because of my speed and agility, I am very effective on the outside.  Take a look at my college video for a quick idea of my abilities. ( See college video ) Thank you.  My profile also has a link to news articles and letters of ability from my coaches.

My short term goal is to study Broadcast Journalism/Communications at a four year university while contributing to the success of their soccer program.  I have played soccer for as long as I can remember and plan to always be involved with the game in some way for as long as I am able.  Long term I would like to be in sports broadcasting or marketing for sports apparel.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
