Seth Dorman '11 Recruiting Profile

The beautiful game of soccer has always been a passion in my life in which I have worked hard to excel. Ever since an early age I have been set on playing soccer at the collegiate level. I am 5'9, 170 lb. and have played soccer competitively for eight years along with participating internationally in the Gothia Cup. My senior and junior years I made 1st Team All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention. I am ranked fifth in the state of Virginia for private and prep schools with 3.3 goals per game average. I earned 66 points during my senior year ranking me first in the state for total points. Both my junior and senior years I was captain of my high school and club teams which has instilled in me leadership qualities and the desire to work hard for myself and for the team. Currently during my off season, I continue to train independently by carrying out a weekly regiment which includes running, strength and conditioning with a personal trainer and footwork along with juggling and shooting. I would prefer to go to a school on the east coast since that's where I'm from but am open to consider any geographical location. My main concern is being able to continue my soccer career at a school that will also be able to further my academics and prepare me for a lifetime career in medicine. I have put a lot of thought and concentration of studies into the medical field and, as of now, that is what I'm planning, although things may change. With this major in mind, I would need to major in biology. My athletic goals are to work, train and play at the collegiate level and to make an impact on that team in whatever position I am asked to play. Thank you for your time and consideration.
