Edward Cummings '12 Recruiting Profile

Scholar – Athlete:  I am a 5’9” 125 lb. seasoned mid-fielder at varsity and club soccer level with experience
as a defender - right-footed and very capable with the left foot as well (as shown in my NCSA video).  Have played fall/spring (and some winter indoor) soccer since age 5. I am academically focused (GPA 3.80 and College Board “AP Scholar Award” winner) and able to balance rigorous school requirements with athletic participation (currently carrying 5 AP classes and a busy travel soccer schedule).  I want to learn more about soccer and elevate my game playing soccer at the collegiate level.

I am a selfless and competent team player; more likely to set-up a play or get the assist than to try and create the solo goal or risk being too far out of position.  I am disciplined (no yellow or red cards), dedicated, open and responsive to feedback and coaching.  I possess great athletic balance offering: endurance and speed, intelligent position play, but can transition quickly to take advantage of opportunities.

I realize I have started this recruiting process late, but I still want to pursue playing competitive athletics and am open to explore opportunities at all divisions.  I am interested in selective schools, but have enjoyed learning about schools I may have overlooked.
