Christopher Benson '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a well rounded, career- minded student attending Dulles High School in Sugarland Texas. My short- term goals are to graduate from High School, align myself with a College or University that will allow me to achieve my long-term education/career goal of becoming an Engineer. I would also like to play my favorite sport [Soccer] in college and perhaps professionally. The game of soccer has been my passion since I was 9 years old. I have been told many times by other athletes and professional players that I am naturally athletic. I am playing soccer and football at my high school. I enjoy both.  Although I prefer a primary position during games, because of my versatility coaches typically place me in various positions when necessary to get the job done.

With the Eclipse Club, I am now playing on the Premier Team, mainly as defender and left- mid. On my high school team I mainly play forward. While with Eclipse, I have had the opportunity to be mentored by some great coaches/trainers. Best part is I am playing alongside other players that sincerely share my passion!

In addition, I have gained great strength and confidence from football which has enhanced my soccer game to a new level. I am hoping that a coach at a school with an excellent Engineering or Sports Science/Management Program recognizes me and my talent here, and offer me an opportunity.
