Zachary Sabeh '16 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has always been a huge part of my life; I've been playing competitively for about 12.5 years. When I'm on the field, I always give 110%. There is no question that I give every second of the game my absolute ALL. Sophomore year, my teammates voted, and I became captain of my Junior Varsity High School Soccer team. My teammates trusted in me and knew I would be a great captain because of my consistently strong performance. Additionally, the team knows that I have so much respect for the game as well as the team as a whole. I am motivated and ambitious on and off the field, and all of my coaches through my career will gladly support my statement. My junior year, our high school team succeeded and became the state regional qualifiers. Although we lost our game that could have qualified us for the state match last year, I have no doubt we can win State this year.  

Being a great student comes first, and making good grades has always been important to me. My commitment to being a competitive athlete doesn't stop during off-season at my school.  I've played on club soccer teams during the off-season for about 12.5 years consistently.  A college education is very important to me, and my ultimate goal is to play the sport I love while also focusing on getting my degree. I play and practice as hard as I do as a tribute to my late mother. She passed away when I was five years old and since then, my aunt and grandfather have been extremely supportive of my goals in every part of my life. I wish nothing more than to continue accomplishing all my goals and making them proud, both on and off the field, and maybe one day play soccer professionally. I hope my hard work is recognized to the extent that I may have an opportunity to play for the highest soccer level at a university.
