Hello coaches my name is Devin Robbins. I became interested in soccer when I was a very young. my parents signed me up for a couple sports such as basketball and baseball. Those were fun at the time, but I decided when I was nine that soccer is my desirable sport. It was a competitive and challenging sport that peaked my interest and has kept it ever since. Even when my season is over, or if I'm injured, I cant stay away from the soccer field. When I finish homework early or free time, I call up a couple teammates and we head out and do a couple drills and scrimmage. I have learned throughout playing soccer that I'm extremely hard worker who strives to improve the way I look as a player as well as a person. I do not give up easily, if I make a mistake I get up and say, so what, worry about the next play. I was taught that at the exact soccer camp and has stayed with me ever since. Now I have had to come over a couple set back, such as the devastating ACL injury I suffered right before season last year. I thought it meant end of me playing soccer for high school as well as my club team. it took me roughly seven months to return to the field, but I am happy that I am back. Since I couldn't play for the season it helped me focus more on my academic goals for that year. My academics goals are to finish my last semester with a 3.9 GPA on a 4 point scale and go to college and study in the field I love. The field in which I desire to study in is sport medicine. I want to one day become a physical therapist and help athletes get better and back on the playing field just as TMI sports and medicine did for me. Unique characteristics I posses are one leadership, two determination and three competitiveness. I will step up and tell my teammates what to do if need be and be a good role model. I also am determined to do my best on and off the field, and help my team along the way with anything they need. I am very competitive and know right from wrong, if we lose I will shake the other teams hands, but will be disappointed and focus on what I can do better. I love the sport and wish to play it for as long as I can.
