As a player, I am a very coachable and capable of doing whatever is asked of me. I have a great work ethic, I'm very technical with the ball at my feet and I highly value being a team player. The specific style of soccer I prefer to play is more of a possession and skillful style of play rather than a direct and aggressive style. I am very interested in playing college soccer and am looking for a program to take me to the next level. I would like a soccer program where I could come right in and compete for a spot.
The positions I play are holding mid, attacking mid and center back. I prefer attacking mid because that is the one position where I feel that I am able to create things most effectively and get to goal. All around, I can pretty much play anywhere you ask me to though. I have played every position numerous amounts of times but center midfield is the position I feel most comfortable at and like the most.
Throughout my soccer career I’ve had many good coaches through club soccer but I’ve had some important soccer mentors as well. My dad is a nationally licensed USSF coach and coached me during my youth. His academy focused on 3v3 small sided soccer and was fundamental to how I learned to play the game. As I got older, I also was able to help during training sessions and mentor younger kids to play small sided soccer.
Another mentor I highly value my experience with is a skills coach, Ferdie Adoboe. Ferdie is from Ghana and was a professional player in many countries. I participated as a youth player in many of his skills camps and private sessions dedicated solely to learning specialized technical skills and applying them in games while thinking about time and space. I now participate in his camps as a coach and mentor younger kids. I enjoy teaching kids the importance of playing skillfully and it’s a part of who I am as a player.
