Joshua Lambright '15 Recruiting Profile

Becoming a professional soccer player has been my ultimate goal for several years now. I started playing soccer when I was 4 years old and had my dad coaching me, when I was around 9 years old I really started developing a deep love for the game, it got to be where there was nothing I would rather do than play soccer whether it's by myself or with my family and friends. I often dream of what it would be like to be a professional soccer player and I will do anything to find out for myself. The best part is that whether I want to become a professional athlete, or earn a degree in engineering, my family supports both of my goals. Because of my family I get the chance to work on becoming a professional athlete while also also getting a good education in college.

I have about 13 total years of experience playing and learning about soccer; I am a very coachable athlete, I learn very fast and I always want to better my game in some aspect. I've learned how to manage success and defeat, how to help lead a team to victory, how important challenging yourself is, and I've always shown good sportsmanship. I'm currently in my senior year looking forward to improving myself further academically and athletically. My goal this year is to be 1st team all-district and lead my high school team to the playoffs.

I'm ready to prove myself to any college that gives me the chance, playing soccer professionally is my ultimate goal and I'll do anything to make sure that dream comes true, but in the event I do not get to become the athlete I dream of being, I will have my education to fall back on, I plan on majoring in engineering. I know if I push myself hard enough I can achieve any goal I set for myself, I'm dedicated to soccer and bettering my education. I am a good fit for any team I get to play on, just give me the chance to show my potential and you won't be disappointed.
