My name is Richard Szabo and I am 18 years old. I am 5'9" and 135lbs. For the past 10 years I have played club soccer--The last four years I have played for the Liverpool 96 boys Melia/Anfield team. I have also played Junior Varsity as a freshman and sophmore--my sophmore year I was named team captain. My Junior and this year I am on the Varsity Soccer team. The position I have played and enjoy playing the most is Attacking Midfield. I have no preference in the location of the college I choose to go to. I come from a military background, my father is active duty military so I am used to moving around and enjoy meeting new people and learning about new places. I don't have a preference as to what division I play in, I just want to play soccer. Soccer is an important aspect of choosing a college, but I also want to make sure that whatever college I chose to play for has my major, which is Graphic Design. I would love to be a professional soccer player, but just in case that doesn't work out my parents encourage me to get a degree that I will enjoy doing in the future.
I feel like I would be a strong asset to anyone's team because I am a hard worker, fast learner, and team player. I play with heart and I leave it all out on the field. I practice hard and play hard, and work hard to be my best for myself, my team, and my coach. All I ask is that I get a chance to prove myself and show you my abilities. I know that I can be an asset to any team I join and look forward to the opportunity to prove it on the field.
