Personal Statement

I am a very driven student athlete and give 100% in the classroom and on the field.  Beginning at age 5 soccer has been my passion and since then I have competed at various levels (in-house, travel, futsal, classic, and high school levels).  As a result of a Cooperative Sponsorship, I was fortunate enough to play at at the high school level, with Waynesburg Central, due to Carmichaels Area not having a soccer program.  Prior to my freshman year,  I was asked to join Carmichaels Area varsity football team as their place kicker.  I strongly believe I have proven that I can balance academics and athletics while being very involved with community service, non-sports related activities,  and my church.  As a result, I believe I would be an asset to a soccer program at the collegiate level.

The only club continually working to develop the ability of its members' consistency and skill, as players and people. Committed to the improvement of players overall insight and understanding of the game, through futsal. It is the only training tool that consistently improves a players' ability to attack and defend the counter attack, confidence with the ball, first touch, foot skill, speed of play (decision making, execution and recognition), and fitness level, simultaneously. If you are committed to competitive football, and more appropriately competitive futsal. Barbarian FC is the one independent club in Western PA with no outdoor club affiliations or, with any one community in its make-up in PA West organization of US Soccer.
  • ODP - Region I / PA West Soccer
  • 1 year
  • PA West Soccer/US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, or ODP as it is commonly called, is a national identification and development program designed to identify youth soccer players throughout the country, to represent their state (PA West Soccer) association, Region, and the United States in soccer competition. ODP pools are formed at the state and regional levels, made up of the best players in various age groups. At the state association level, pools of players are identified in each eligible age group, brought together as a team to develop their skills through training and competition. From the state pools, players are identified for regional and national pools and teams. PA West Soccer ODP is one of 15 state associations within US Youth Soccer Region I. WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF ODP? 1. To identify a regional pool of players in each age group for possible inter-regional and international competition. 2. To provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels. 3. Through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the enhancement of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.   PA West Soccer ODP selects players on the basis of open tryouts, as well as evaluations of play during school and club competitions. These tryouts/evaluations are conducted by licensed state association coaches who are recognized for their ability to identify and train players. Players can also try out at the invitation of the state team coaches. Players can be referred to a state team head coach or can be identified through scouting. Selection of these players is not an easy task. The state association head coach or state coach has the sole responsibility for final selections, but will, in most cases, be assisted in the selection process by several other qualified coaches from the club or league level. Players are evaluated on the following components: technique, tactics, fitness, athletic ability, and attitude.
