I want to play soccer at an academically strong school. I’m determined, and a hard worker. I organize our team’s defense, enjoy frustrating opposing forwards, and am proud of our shut-outs. I love soccer, and am strong at reading the game, heading, and slide-tackling. I’m comfortable playing center back, outside back, and holding center midfielder.
I play club soccer with a Timbers Alliance team, the Eugene Timbers, and we are generally in the top several teams in the state. (We played in the semi-finals of the State Cup this past weekend). I have just been nominated to a Select team drawn from the Timbers Alliance teams to complete in the Friendship Cup (Portland, Oregon; Memorial Day weekend.)
I joined the high school varsity team as a Freshman. I received First Team All-District honors as a Sophomore (holding midfielder) and Junior (center back). I also received the Ironman Award (coach given) and Best Defender Award(team given). We finished this last regular season as the No. 2 seed in the largest school division in Oregon. Our record in 14 games is 12-0-2, with a 48-7 goal differential.
South Eugene High School has a strong academic reputation. My current GPA is 3.917/4.0 and my adjusted GPA is over a 4.0. I like to learn and I look forward to a stimulating academic environment in college. Currently, my academic interests are broad, including economics, management, and medicine/health.
