John Paul Junglen '15 Recruiting Profile

I joined my very first soccer team in Colorado Springs, Colorado when I was 3 years old.  Fifteen years later, soccer has become my passion, and my goal is to play at the highest level of competition on the best team I can. My commitment to continuous improvement mirrors my passion for success.  All of my soccer coaches can attest to my very strong work ethic and leadership capability.  I have always practiced as hard as I play in games and always with that extra degree of effort.  As a result, my greatest strengths are my 1v1 defensive skills, endurance, and understanding of the defensive role in a team structure. I have been a varsity starter since my freshman year.  I run a mile in 5:15, the two mile in 11:21 and  I came in at 14.4 on the Beep test.  I am versatile on the field and easily adapt to new team dynamics.  I am currently a varsity starter at Norman North High School ranked number 2 in the nation in the FAB50, number 1 in the state, and the 2012 National Champions.

I volunteer in the community with TOPS and I am involved in SPUD at my high school.  I have always been active outside of soccer as well in my school and community.  I played youth baseball through 8th grade, ran middle school track,  and was a varsity starter  in football 7th to 9th grade. My freshman year I made all conference in football as a wide receiver for Mustang High School. My sophomore year, I made the decision to pursue the game that I love exclusively, soccer.

 I am looking forward to taking soccer to the next level.
