I have been playing soccer for 11 years starting in 2nd grade. I progressed from recreation soccer in 4th grade when I joined my first travel/club team, Wooster Edge. During these younger years of playing club soccer, I would also play up, and compete with the older middle school team. Competing with the older kids strengthened my play tremendously. I, being smaller, had to learn to protect myself from getting knocked off the ball. I was a starting midfielder for Wooster Edge until my 7th grade year when I started middle school soccer. During my middle school years I alternated between striker and attacking midfielder and I was lead scorer. I also took on the role of captain during my 8th grade year. When I entered Triway high school, I was a full time junior varsity starter as well as part time varsity alternate. As a sophomore, I was a starting varsity central midfielder and continued that role until my senior year. This year I decided to transfer from Triway high school to Kingsway Christian school. During my senior year, I was captain. As a captain team mates would come to me when they needed help improving their game, whether it be foot skills or striking. One major skill set I have is field awareness and vision. This skill has been present since 4th grade and every coach I've had, has commented on my ability to know where my teammates are on the field. Some of my fondest memories of high school soccer was when I helped my Triway team win the Mason, Ohio pre-season classic for the first time. Another memory I have is scoring four goals in a single game against Community Christian school in Cleveland. In school, I partake in all advanced placement classes and I maintain the Merit Roll status. I have been involved with a few clubs, such as Science and French. I was also an active member in the student council. I volunteer time at the local haunted house that supports our local fireworks show. I enjoy doing hands on activities like fixing things and figuring out how things work. At work, I sometimes fix some of the complex printing machines when they are broken and I think that's fun. I also referee kids soccer games during summer along with assisting in coaching. I am looking to enter a business program in college because that is what I have known my whole life. My parents are small business owners so I have a lot of experience working with people. I love the game of soccer and I hope to extend my skills into the collegiate level.
