Personal Statement

My name is Avery Johnson and my passion is soccer. Soccer has been a large

part of my life since the first grade and my goal is to pursue playing

soccer in college. Though, I may not be the tallest player, what I lack in

height, I make up for with speed. One of my strongest qualities as a player

is that I can play any position needed. Throughout my last few seasons, I

have played every position, both on the offensive and defensive end. My

favorite position is in the midfield, preferably center mid, but I have

great success with runs out wide because of my speed. I am a team player and

would much rather prefer to help out a teammate before myself, but will

gladly take the opportunity. For the past two club seasons, I have played on

a team a year above my age group. Also, I was the only sophomore on my High School Varsity

team.
