Ben Rowan '18 Recruiting Profile

            I’m a junior from Winston-Salem, NC. I’ve played four years of Varsity Soccer, beginning in my 8^th grade year, and have started at CM in every game of every season. I’ve been blessed to be part of a fantastic high school soccer program, which has been extremely successful in recent years. As a part of my high school team, I’ve had the experience of winning a national tournament, as well as learning and growing from two consecutive state final losses.

            I’ve been homeschooled my whole life, and have learned and developed self-control, self-discipline, and time management in both academics and athletics. I hope to maintain my 4.0 GPA through the rest of high school, and then through college. Consequently, I am looking for not only a great soccer program, but also an academic program that will prepare me for my career after college. As a soccer player, I believe success on the field comes only through intentional hard work and dedication off the field. As a result, I have put in hours upon hours of practice on my own and with my twin brother (with whom I plan to play in college) to sharpen my skills and develop my touch. I always push my teammates to their very best, and expect them to push me as well. As a result, I hope to find a program where I can grow and improve as a person as well as a soccer player.
