Michael Barrell '14 Recruiting Profile

I`m Michael Barrell, I play many different positions which include center mid, outside mid and striker.  This year has been outstanding for me,  I have been able, provide assists and continue to score putting myself and my team in positions to be successful. I wish to bring my abilities and winning attitude  to your University.

I play for Triangle United Soccer Academy in Durham NC. Under head coach Billy Englishby. We are State runners-up in a game where we  lost 4-3 in double overtime despite my contribution which included an assist and our third goal. Though we lost, our entire team played cohesively to get us to the next level.  We went to the Region 3 Championships in Edmond, Oklahoma and won the whole tournament. We defeated 4 state champions and  2 premier league winners in the 7 day tournament. The Semi-finals and finals both went into pk shootouts where I converted our last shot from the spot to win us the tournament. We are currently preparing for Nationals which start 7-22-13.
