John Higgins '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and I’ve played for a club team since its startup in 2007 at 9 years old.  I have a lot of passion for the game, I love to play and I want to play for as long as I can.  The dream is to play professionally and if that doesn’t work out I still want to be involved with the sport somehow.  Playing soccer is my getaway and it’s so unique that one person’s drive and motivation can dictate the outcome of a game, because the game can have moments of opportunity that require you to be fearless.  I always feel like I can get better at something, I know I’m not the best, but I believe that I can be.  My coaches say that I show work, kindness and respect on and off the field.  I know that I’m capable of doing anything on the field, and that just gives me something to prove.
