I started playing soccer at 4 years old. I excelled in house league which led me to start playing travel a year and a half early. In my freshman year of high school it was time to take the next step and play premier level soccer. Soccer has taught me that when I'm out on the pitch, nothing else matters except the ball and the ten other men around me. Soccer has helped me grow as a person and a teammate, putting others before yourself and realizing the program is above any individual, is crucial. My mother has many health issues, that has affected our family in many ways. She always tells me that one thing that she enjoys the most and brings her peace is watching me play, which is one of the reasons I'd love to continue playing in college. Some of her health issues also led me to have interest in taking up psychology. It will help me learn more about her illness as well as provide me with the ability to help others like her for my future career.
