I started playing soccer in about second grade. I was eight years old and immediately fell in love with the game. I started my career in California and then came to New Mexico in fourth grade. I scored dozens of goals and joined a club team and soccer became my favorite thing to do. The field is like a second home for me. I have become so passionate about the game that there is nothing else i would rather do than continue playing through my college years.
Academically i have always excelled in certain fields especially English, Creative writing, history and science. I have a unique ability to focus myself and do really well in class. School has always been important to me and i am very ambitious to continue my education at the next level.
What makes me a good student athlete is my constantly growing desire to better myself on the field, in the classroom, and in life as a whole. I have an ambition that is always pushing me to do better in every aspect of life. At times i am very hard on myself but at the end of the day that kind of personal discipline makes me stronger. Family is a huge priority and i am lucky to say i have been blessed with the best motivators and supporters. While being a skilled and committed player, i am also a great leader on and off the soccer field. My high school coach quickly noticed my leadership skills and named me co- captain of the varsity team my junior year. The most important thing to me and the biggest reason that i love soccer is the bonds i build with my team mates and the pure beauty of working hard together as a team through the good and the bad. We win as a team, lose as a team, and work as a team. If there is one thing i am sure of, it is that no matter where life takes me, i am always happiest with a ball at my feet.
