Ramiro Mata '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a firm believer in hard work. I believe that hard work produces the best character out of anybody. Its the character that changes 1 person from the rest, and its a character that helps people succeed in life itself. I am a soccer player and a distance runner from Lovington, New Mexico. I have several achievements and its all because of hard work. I've been on the Cross Country and Track Varsity team for 4 years and 2 years for soccer. My aspirations involve me getting a business degree and playing soccer in college. The reason I have only played 2 years for the Lovington program is because it was barely a first year program in 2014 in which I was a big part of. Individually we had good players and went to state the first year, but didn't get to make it in the second year which was this last fall. I believe that I can make an impact anywhere I go because of my character and mindset. Academically i was selected to be in the rotary club and i have a consistant gpa of 3.9 and higher. Im in the National Honor Society and take part in school activites often.
