Tanner Hendrix '16 Recruiting Profile

Academically, I have taken at least two honors and/ or AP classes every year. I have received a Certificate of Merit from the University of New Mexico as a result of my scores on the PSAT which were in the top 7% out of 1.5 million students who took the test. Also, I have been invited into the National Hispanic Recognition Program.

I aspire to attend a college with not only a good soccer team, but a strong retention and graduation rate.  My major of Computer Science must be offered as well.  I would like to go to a school where I can be comfortable so that it can become my home away from home.

I believe that I have a variety of traits and skills that make me unique from the rest.  Starting with the physical, I have always been one of the faster players on the field.  Not to mention, I have great ability in the air as I have worked on increasing vertical. In addition, I have worked very hard on my first touch and I am able to keep the ball close to me even while under pressure.  I have the confidence and the skill to take people on at full speed.  I have a powerful and accurate shot which I can use effectively from almost anywhere on the pitch as well as having the composure to finish in difficult situations. 

As far as character, I believe I am quite unique. I have a very outgoing and optimistic personality.  I am not angered easily but I also have a very competitive nature.  I like to make people laugh but I recognize when it is time to get focused. Because of my consistent hard work and mental toughness, I have been a leader on every team I have played on and have captained almost all of them as a result.
