Matthew Stein '16 Recruiting Profile

I always give 100% effort and commitment to my team, in practices, games and tournaments. I surround myself with the game, always trying to improve my understanding of the game and some of my best qualities are playing with passion and a desire to win. I lead my team in warm-ups and I communicate loudly on the field; this helps me keep miscommunications to a minimum and each line connected to the other.  What I really want is to go to the best college I can where I can also play college-level soccer.

I try to give as much effort to my school work as I do on the field and take pride in my grades. I enjoy trying different elective classes whenever possible, such as design engineering and computer programming, which give me valuable skills that I enjoy using. I try and learn assigned material, rather than just getting it done, and have a keen sense of memory for what I have reviewed or read. I have 6 honors classes and 2 AP classes in my first 3 years, and plan to continue taking advanced classes in the coming years.
