Patrick Edmonds '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Patrick Edmonds, I reside in Teaneck, N.J. with my mother and father and attend Saint Joseph Regional High School (SJR) in Montvale, NJ where I will be headed into my Senior year. I am a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Hackensack, NJ. I am 5' 8" and weigh 155 lbs. I am a solid, hardworking student that enjoys music, video gaming and reading. I currently play Soccer for Saint Joseph Regional Varsity Team for Coach Angelo Nucci. I am a forward/midfielder that has been converted to the position of Right Fullback/Defender. I have played and started on the Varsity Soccer team for 3 consecutive years. I am very honored to be the first Junior nominated to the position of Captain. I am also an accomplished track and field athlete who competes at the Varsity level for Saint Joseph as well. I was Bergen County's Fastest Freshman in 2009, winning the 100-yard dash with a time of 11.32. I have also enjoyed playing club soccer for Coach Mike Vivino with the PASCO Soccer Club. As a U-16 Club we (NJ Stallions) were ranked #2 in State of NJ and #19 in Region 1 by NationalSoccerRanking.com. I am currently a member of the U-18 team after spending a number of seasons with the Teaneck Stingrays Soccer Club. As Captain, I lead by example and I try to give 110% level of effort on and off the field. I can bring that level of effort, my quickness and competitive spirit to a team at the college level. I am an Honor Roll student who takes Honors and Accelerated classes, member of the National Society of High School Scholars, Vice-Chair; Youth Advisory Board for the Teaneck Township Council, volunteer in the SJR Campus Ministry and I am a Freshman "Big Brother" and Retreat Leader for SJR. I plan on pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy or Athletic Training in college. I would like to attend college on the East coast. I am open to different types of schools but still want to be within driving distance to home, right now. I have a short-term goal of completing my degree and playing college Soccer for a team at the right level for my skill set where I can have an impact and play quickly. At this moment I also have a long-term goal of playing professional Soccer or opening my own practice.
