February 2017Personal Statement
My name is Alexy Alin-Hvidsten and I grew up in London where I began playing soccer at a young age. I support Arsenal and have followed the Premier League for years. I love the game. My goal is to take my passion forward and provide solid contributions to a soccer team at a top academic university.
My soccer skills have evolved over the years. At Parsippany SC, I played centre back and outside back for a number of years. More recently, I decided to focus my skills as a midfielder and attacking player. This new direction came about during my freshman year at the Pingry School, when I played varsity as an outside midfielder. Sophomore year, I started as right back with a focus on getting forward. This past year, I started as midfielder.
I am proud to be taking my experience forward into my senior year as captain of the Pingry team.
