Hello all, my name is Matt McCormick. I'm a 6 foot 140 pound goalkeeper from Galloway, NJ and my dream is to play soccer at the collegiate level. I feel as though on the field my talents will be more then enough to compete at the highest levels effectively, but I also believe that my work in the classroom and in the team locker room are some of my best assets. On the field, I am a three year varsity letter earning player for my high school and the single season shutout record holder with 10 in 2012; for club, I have been team captian since the teams inception two years ago as well as earning an ODP selection for my play in 2011. We compete in the Super y League against the best teams in the Mid Atlantic region and also participate in various top level tournaments. Off the field, I know the importance of scholastics in the long run, and I intend to graduate and go on to lead a succcessful life. I am currently enrolled in AP english 3 and AP US History 2, as well as Absegami's media program, which is one of the best in the state of NJ. I would like to attend college somewhere in central or eastern US so that my parents can come visit occasionally (not too often!). I'm very excted to begin the next step in my soccer career and I look forward to playing in front of you in the coming months. Thank you for your time and best of luck going forward.
