I attend Ozark High School in Ozark, Missouri. My focus is on my education and soccer. School is something I work very hard at and I have only missed class for the funeral of my Grandfather and my Aunt. I work hard for my grades but my cumulative GPA may not reflect that. In the class room I respect all my teachers and I get all my work turned in on time. I am a really hard worker in school and all my teachers like me. As a freshmen I was encouraged to take Spanish I and II and really struggled with that language. I am enrolled in French and currently have an A in the class. Math is not my strongest course and geometry really was a challenge, summer school was very helpful in getting me to grasp the concepts. As a result of those three courses my cumulative GPA is not what I would like it to be, however, in the current semester I am holding a 3.7 GPA. I am enrolled in two honors courses. I am focused on succeeding and have myself on a strict schedule which keeps me focused on success in school and on the pitch. I started playing soccer when I was 3. I started playing competitive soccer when I was 7 with Springfield Soccer Club. Our team played locally, moved to playing league in the Kansas City area, then to the National Premier league, and this year we will be playing in the Midwest Region League. Our club team made it to the Missouri State Cup semi-finals in 2014. My goal is to make soccer my career. My academic plans are to pursue a degree in sports management and/or education, possibly marketing with the ultimate goal to coach soccer or run a soccer club, of course if I could play soccer for a living that would be my absolute dream. My collegiate goals are to play on the field as much as possible learning from my peers and coaches how to make myself a better player and a better team mate. I push myself hard to improve my skills. I never miss a training and I spend 1 to 2 hours a day on the field outside of practice and an hour in the gym. I know my height is something I have to overcome but I believe if I'm faster and stronger then I have the advantage. I have a solid vertical jump that often gets me over taller opponents. I would like to play at that next level to push myself, to see that I can compete at that level. I believe if you have goals and you put in the work you can reach them. My family is supportive of my goals and God is my strength in giving me a strong character. I believe that what makes me a stand out candidate is my willingness to put in the work, to listen and learn from coaches and peers, my passion for the game, a positive attitude and my ability to adjust to any playing style. I am very vocal on the field because I am playing for the team and I want the team to do well, just not myself. My attitude is happy, out there willing to have fun but also to work hard when needed. On the field I am in it for the team and will work my hardest for them. I have played varsity soccer all three years of my high school career. As a freshmen I was the third in goals scored, and as a sophomore and junior second. I made second team All Conference and second team All District as a junior. I appreciate you taking the time to look at my profile and hope that I get and opportunity to show you what I can bring to your program.
