Luis Torres '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Luis Torres. I am a 5'9 Freshman JUCO goalkeepers looking to continue my soccer career at another program. I have college experience and I am excited to find the right school. It has always been a dream of mine to play the sport I love at the collegiate level, I am hoping to continute living my dream.

I played varsity soccer for 4 years at Belton High School in Belton Mo. It was always a dream of mine to put a BHS Jersey going to my brother’s game all the time; I fell in love with the fact of playing for my hometown high school soccer team. As a member of the BHS Varsity team I started all 4 years. I was named Varsity Captain my sophomore year and continued to be through my senior year. I received 1st team All Conference (2014) 2nd team All Conference (2011,2013,) Honorable Mention (2012) Conference GK of the Year (2014), Defensive Player of the year (2011,2013) Team Co-MVP (2014), member of the All district team (2013,2014) and made the 2014 Class 3 All Regional team and received GK of the year. 1st team All State for the state of Missouri.

My love for soccer started at a very young age from watching it on TV and watching my older brother play. At the age of 10 I finally got to play on a team and since then I have not stop playing. Soccer has given me the greatest memories and has let me make friendships that I never thought I would make. Continuing playing soccer at the next level will be a dream come true, I think I am a good fit for your college program because I have so much love and passion for the game. I am a leader on and off the field, I have been told I am a hard worker, very great at leading my team from the back. I always want hear your opinion because I want to be the best I can. At the collegiate level I want to grow as player, academically and personally so I can make difference later on after I pursue my career field.
