Jacob Rubin '16 Recruiting Profile

Soccer is my passion. I have played soccer since I was 3 years old.  I dream of playing soccer at the highest levels.  I understand that to achieve my dream, I need to train hard and always work on my game. If I am one of the privileged few who gets to live their dream and play college soccer, I pledge to bring a passion for the game, a commitment to the program, and the desire to work hard and improve- so that I can be better tomorrow than I am today.

I am also a committed student. I have maintained a 4.0 grade point average, while taking honors and A.P. level courses in high school. I recognize that while soccer is a game, academics are for life.  Therefore, I bring the same hard work and commitment that I bring to the pitch to the classroom.  I understand that one day, my playing career will end, but I will always have my education. Academic success is just as important to me as athletic success, and I want to be a true scholar athlete.

It is my personal belief that nothing worthwhile is achieved without hard work, passion, and commitment. I pledge to work hard, both in my academics and on the pitch, to make my college soccer program and my own college career a success. Playing soccer in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I want to find a college program that will allow me to succeed on the pitch, the classroom, and in life.
