Hello, my name is Zach Brumbalow. One of my biggest goals is to play at a high level soccer program during college. Soccer is very important to me and I would like to be a key player on any soccer team I am part of. I would like to be part of a disciplined and organized team that will allow me to perform at the top of my abilities, benefiting the whole team.
I have had many unique opportunities that make me a good candidate for a college team. First, I know that I am very coachable; 5 years ago when I truly started to love soccer I was an average player, but over the course of those 5 years I worked hard and progressed quickly. I know that this hard work has led me to where I am right now, and I’m excited to see how far I can go!
I have had lots of experiences that shaped my character. I helped coach my brothers’ soccer team for 2 seasons. This really helped my leadership skills and I enjoyed teaching the younger children how to improve their game. As a sophomore, I was captain of my JV soccer team, helping me learn how to help my teammates on and off the pitch. My duties as a captain included far more than just being in charge on the soccer field. I also helped my teammates with school work and was there for them in general. Academics has always been a big part of my life. I always strive to do my best. In high school I have been taking honors courses; I have achieved a GPA of 3.77/4 and an academic letter. I swim competitively each summer and run track. I earned a varsity letter in track for both indoor and outdoor seasons my freshman year. Lastly, I think of myself as a student athlete, which, to me, means that I am a top level athlete who loves what he does, but I place high priority on my academic performance.
