Robert Fiackos '13 Recruiting Profile

I pride myself on not only being an athlete, but a scholar-athlete. Throughout high school, I have participated on a minimum of two sports per year while maintaining an overall 3.8 gpa, on a scale of 4.0, while taking many honors and advanced placement courses. On the field, and in the classroom, I lead by example as I challenge myself and those around me to achieve a higher goal than thought possible. I now look to college as the next step in developing as a student, athlete, and leader. I am currently planning on majoring in sports medicine and athletic training because I can envision myself continuing my involvement in and around athletics throughout my life. However, I also recognize that I may find another focus, such as history, that may end up a better fit for me before I make a final decision and declaration of my major. When I am done, I hope to leave college as a better and well-rounded person who is able to support himself and his community. I hope to be a leader in my career and always maintain a connection to sports. I can recognize the great benefits that my hardwork and training have provided me as I have progressed from a young child to a young man. Someday, with luck and perserverence, I hope to give back some of the gifts that have placed me in the position I now find myself.
