Nick Bellamy '12 Recruiting Profile

As a 5'8", 165lb sophomore starter on varsity I was viewed as a lower classman but developed respect from the upper classmen as I demonstrated my soccer skills and dedication on and off the field. As a tradition, the youngest player would always get picked on. But once it's game time I am always the one to get the team focused. I am dedicated to surprising our opponents and locking them in early. I play a fast pace game, I love my speed. As a Senior, on club and high school, I'm one of the top 3 fastest runners. I use my size and speed to be the "annoying striker", doing whatever is possible to win the ball on a 1v1. As far as High School soccer goes, our regular season stats were 7, 3 and 1.  In academics I've learned the need to work extra hard to be successful and carry that same work ethic onto the soccer practice field. I'm looking forward to an opportunity to continue my academic and atheletic interests at a college which offers a diversity of programs and one which has lots of tradition and spirit. Club soccer is challenging and fun but I especially like the school spirit of high school ball and look forward to continuing that tradition at a higher level throughout my college experience.
