Personal Statement

Coaches,

Soccer is much more than a game to me. Soccer is a way of life, and I am living that lifestyle every second. Soccer is my passion, and my dream is to succeed on the collegiate level. I am dedicated to being the best player I can become. I have a natural desire to succeed, both on the field and in the classroom. I have been a good student all of my life and I have never failed a class and have never received disciplinary action in school or soccer.  I am an honest student who strives to be the best he can be.

Throughout my life, I have played on multiple diverse teams. I've learned how to work with various types of people and how to lead them to success. I am a strong willed player who stands up for myself and my teammates. I am a good fit for any team. I am polite and respectful to everyone, and am always optimistic. Also, I am very coachable, and open to every piece of wisdom available to me.

I'm not afraid to be given responsibilities. Throughout my high school and club career, I've lead my team. Having to make penalty saves and free-kick saves late in a game doesn't phase me. I rise up to the challenge and do my job reliably.  My junior year, my team, Boonsboro High School, played a rival team, Williamsport High School. The game ended 0-0 after double overtime, a penalty kick save, a vital free kick save, and 14 other saves. That performance launched my team to a streak of 500 minutes without conceding a goal. The longest streak in the region, which I played every single minute of.

I'm a great teammate, a great student, and a great player. I have a towering 6'4 frame, fast reactions, good handling, a calm head, and knowledge of the game. I am determined to become a great athlete and succeed at the highest level possible. I want to be a part of a good college, and a good soccer program. I'm very studious and a quick learner, so i can adapt to new styles of play. I'm also good with my feet which has growing importance in the modern game, and make smart distribution decisions to keep possession.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration, and I am looking forward to taking the next step in my soccer career!

                                                                                           Sincerely,

                                                                                                               Connor Blair
