Personal Statement

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to develop my soccer skills at a higher level while maintaining the grades necessary to prepare myself and those around me for a successful life following college. I am a good candidate for any team because of my leadership abilities and understanding of how to work with others. In order for a team to function properly and victoriously, they must work as one and I feel that my leadership on and off the field along with my ability to cooperate with others can assist any team dramatically. Athletically what sets me above other considerations when it comes to recruiting is my rigorous work ethic, and my desire for success. With the amount of time spent in training I am always looking for ways to improve my game individually along with my team as a whole. On the pitch, I provide strong leadership characteristics and communication skills. I am quick to the ball, crisp in decision making, and can make the majority of the saves necessary for my team to come out on top. Always critiquing my game, I review how each action I perform could have been more successful and self evaluation is a large part of my game. Academically a 4.07 GPA reflects a demanding effort in the classroom and a fruitful study habit. Having received an academic letter on two separate occasions and three academic all conference awards, my work is always done in the classroom. My ACT is currently a 24 and I am working to improve this score as I am aiming for a a 30. As a member of the National Honor Society, I spend time volunteering when available as well. I have assisted the Variety Club of Des Moines on multiple occasions along with random small service projects throughout my community. I consider myself to be a trustworthy, kind, respectful, responsible, fair person and I trust that my comrades, teachers, family members, and others that I am surrounded with could attribute to this.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
