Personal Statement
Since the age of 13 it has been my goal to come to the US to further my academic studies and pursue my dream to play college soccer at Division I or II Level. I am a good all-round sportsman and list below my achievements so far:-

My commitment and dedication to succeed has assisted me in achieving my goals both in the classroom and on the sports field. My technical ability, ball control, speed, enthusiasm and upper body strength have all helped me to create, assist and score goals. I have a positive attitude, am a team player and can read the game. My speed with the ball is equal to that without the ball which enables me to be a constant threat to my opponents. I play right wing and have been told that I am an 'old school winger' where I am always looking to beat the fullback, cross the ball or shoot. I am a double footed player which enables me to be very versatile on the pitch. My coach has told me that I have social and emotional intelligence which gives a positive influence to the rest of the team. I am always keen to improve my game and welcome constructive criticism. I am driven and this is shown by the hours spent training on the pitch, in the gym and at alternative strengthening classes.
In the classroom, I have attained GCSE grades - A* , 5 A Grades, 2 B Grades and 1 C Grade, and am predicted 2 A Grades and 1 B Grade at A Levels. My ACT examination score was 22 with written paper. I am intending to retake this but as I have had no lessons on the syllabus nor on how to take the examination, I wasn't too disappointed. I am currently studyiing for my A Level examinations which will be held in June 2017 and am predicted 2 A's and 1 B. Although I have dyslexia, my hard work, motivation and determination has enabled me to achieve far higher grades than I could have expected.
I have also been involved in organising a Lower Sixth school ball, am a member of the Debating Society and a Digital Leader (which raises awareness of safe internet to younger members of the school). I also take tours of the school to prospective parents who have boys who are potential sports scholars. I have been appointed Deputy Soccer Captain and Deputy Head Boy for the school.
My ultimate goal is to find a College that will allow me to play soccer to my full potential and can offer me an excellent academic experience and qualification.
I recently attended the Villanova Nike Soccer camp 2-5 July and out of 300 attendees was one of five members to play in the adult 'all star' matches on both evenings. I also attended Exact top 50 Academic ID course and got through to the "all stars" match there also.
It is my ambition to come to the US and experience playing college soccer as well as studying for my future career.
