Logan Rauck '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Logan Rauck and I am from Memphis, Indiana. I am a senior at Providence High School where I am working toward a Core 40 Diploma with Academic Honors and will graduate in the Spring of 2015. I have accepted the game of soccer as a part of my life considering that I have played since I was five years old, giving obvious reason as to why my passion for the game is so deep. I am currently 6 feet and 165 lbs. I am a trained center back, able to play anywhere on the back line, however, I was utilized as a forward this past season on my varsity high school team.  I started half the season in defense and the other half in offense.  I was awarded the Offensive MVP, leading the team with twelve goals and five assists. 

I started as an outside defender my freshman and sophomore years, and was given the opportunity to use my leadership skills as a co-captain of the varsity team this season. We made a successful run post-season in the 1A IHSAA State tournament, finishing as State Runner-ups. Along with the Offensive MVP award this year, I have also been awarded the 110% Award my Freshman year and the Coach’s Award my Sophomore year. I have trained for four of the previous five years with the Indiana State ODP program making State Pool twice and the State ODP team last year as a starting center back.  I was recently selected to the State ODP team again this year to compete in the Region II 2014 ODP Showcase.

During the Spring, I play for SIU (Southern Indiana United) as center back and a forward.  I have been elected as team co-captain for four years consecutively. I am quick, strong, and have the mindset of a workhorse, as well as the technical skill to work the ball in the offensive half and finish. I am very serious when it comes to two things in my life; soccer and my education. I will put forth everything in order to be successful in both areas, always challenging myself on and off the field.
