As a military child I have had the opportunity to travel the world. I started playing soccer in Germany when I was five. Being an only child this was great way for me to make new friends. I instantly fell in love with the sport and realized years later that I was good at it. Since Germany I have played and trained with some of the best. I have learned along the way that a good work ethic and leadership end with success on and off the field.
In the classroom I strive to make good grades. I remember when I was younger I did not care much for science or math. Funny how things work out, as those are now my better subjects. My plan for college is to major in Forensic Science. I have dreams of one day being a medical examiner.
My parents have molded me to be a productive member of society, but I won’t stop there. I aspire to be a leader and give back to my community. My mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was six years old. Seeing her attend all my games, while fighting this disease, has proven challenging at times. Her strength to overcome her disability and my dad’s seven military deployments has inspired me to find joy in the journey.
I know that I possess the skills required to be a great goalkeeper. I am a leader, hardworking and communicate well with others. I plan to give 100% to further develop myself as a student-athlete for your program and my new teammates. This is why you should choose me as your 2016 goalkeeper.
