Anthony Pistelli '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a hard working, very determined player. I enjoy training and I take it very seriously. I know that every touch I take matters, so I try to make the most of every single touch I get on the ball. I am physically a strong player with good, explosive speed and quickness. My freshman year, I was the only freshman on varsity and I started over a few Seniors and a Junior. I scored seven goals and had ten assists. I fell in love with this beautiful game at a young age and have pretty much dedicated my life to it. Aside from school, soccer is my life. I play every day, but my love for the game only grows stronger. I strive to get stronger, faster, smarter, to better my touch because I enjoy getting better. I am a level-headed player. I don't get flustered very easily. As a striker, I know that I will miss chances because I am not perfect. I also know that I will get more chances so I keep my head up and try to find another way to the goal. If I get fouled, I don't get upset and let it take me out of my game. My coach, Michael Wallace, has taught me to be humble and to have humility. I understand that there will always be someone better than me, which in turn, gives me the advantage.
