My name is Sam Temple. I am a senior in high school. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I have played competitive soccer since I was 10 years old. My strengths are in the midfield positions but I have also played forward and defender extensively as well. I have played all of these positions for my school teams and competitive teams. My sophomore, junior, and senior year in High School I was an Honorable mention in my county. My desire is to play collegiate and professional soccer. I continue to develop my skills by challenging myself through increased competition, individual training and through one on one training with outside trainers. I have taken advantage of opportunities to attend the Olympic Development Program training sessions as well as multiple soccer camps each summer. My favorite quote is from Pele': "Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing and learning to do." I like this quote because people might tell you, oh you got lucky. But nobody really gets lucky. There's always something behind success. I work hard every day on the soccer field and at school. I'm ready to learn anything and everything to help me improve my game. And there's not much of a sacrifice because there's nothing I'd rather be doing than playing soccer.
