Edwin Betancourt '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Edwin Christopher Betancourt. I’m a senior at Archbishop McCarthy High School in South Florida. I have a 3.98 GPA and take honors and AP classes. I play in the Weston FC 95/96 academy as a center back and can also play right back.  I have 7 years of experience playing club soccer at the premier level and on US Soccer Development Academy teams. I was also the Captain of the U- 17 Puerto Rico National Team until I got moved up to the U 20 squad. I played in the FIFA U-17 World Cup - CONCACAF Qualifiers as U-17 PR Squad Captain and scored two goals during qualifiers games.I’m looking for an opportunity to play at a college with an excellent academic program and a great soccer team.  If given the opportunity, I know I can contribute to my team greatly and be an exemplary student and person outside the field.
