Joe Loonam '17 Recruiting Profile

    One of the best moments of my soccer career was during my junior year when we won the District Championship. Our team had to come back in the game to tie it late and then we won in penalty kicks. It was especially rewarding since I had to work my way up to the varsity team during my sophomore year after not being initially selected at the beginning of the season.

    I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember and it has definitely helped me grow as a person. I have volunteered at a summer camp for the last 2 years and I especially enjoy working with kids and others around the game of soccer. I have been captain with my club teams and was a co-captain for West Boca High this year and see myself as someone who clearly leads by example. I know I have the ability to play soccer at the next level and am looking forward to finding the right fit that will be great for me from both an athletic and an academic standpoint.
