Brian Grieve '12 Recruiting Profile

I want to play competitive soccer in college at a high academic institution, anywhere in the US. I am left-footed. I have played soccer since Kindergarten and have been captain of several teams, a top scorer, and top defender. I am well-rounded, having played most positions on the field. As a senior, I played varsity, center defense, and was team captain.  Our team was undefeated Conference Champions, voted Best Sportsmanship, and State Championship Finalists (seeded #2).  I was voted 1st Team All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year Runner Up, 1st Team All-State, 1st Team Academic All-State, State Player of the Year Runner Up, US West Coast Region All-Player, and Coaches Award Recipient.  As a Junior, I played varsity, center defense. Our team was undefeated Conference Champions, Voted 2nd in Conference for Best Sportsmanship.  and made State playoffs Semi-Finalist (seeded #5). I was 1st Team All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year Selection, 2nd Team All-State, 1st Team Academic All-State and EHS Athlete of the Month. I played varsity as a sophomore and was voted 2nd Team All-Conference and Academic All-State Honorable Mention. In high school, as a defender, I had many shutouts, 12-0-1, as a Freshman, and we out scored opponents 55-18 with an 11-3-3 record as a Sophomore.  I led my club team to many tournament wins and places.  I have an excellent work ethic and model good sportsmanship.  I was proud when in Amsterdam, at the People-to-People Ambassador Program, after being voted MVP by my US teammates, the English soccer team signed one of their jerseys and gave it to me. I enjoy many sports including competitive basketball (3 year varsity), recreational skiing, and mountain biking.
