Matthew Perez '17 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to be the first person in my family to graduate from college.  I want to make my parents proud and go on to be the best at whatever I make my career in.  My parents have sacrificed a great deal for me because I have a learning disability, but they have always had faith in me.  They have sent me to private school because they want the best for me in an area with some of the worst schools in the State.  At my school, I have always learned to be selfless and help others.  My parents have always shown these same attributes.  My father has coached me since I was 4 years old.  As a result, I have seen how serious he takes everything meaning school first and sports second.  I know what dedication and hard work mean.  I know that I have the most talent on the field because I work the hardest day in and day out.  I am serious about playing college soccer.  I am serious about improving my grades.  I want to graduate college and have a healthy productive life.  If soccer helps me get a college degree, I will work to be the best at it.
