My name is Manuel Ibarra, and I am a senior at Florence High School. I really want to play soccer in college; soccer is my passion. Where I perform the best on the field is as a left wing or forward. I am 6 foot tall and weight 165 pounds. I could really make a difference on a team with my speed and dribbling, I can also make good crosses from either side of the field. I define myself as a smart, fast and strong soccer player. My speed helps me alot when playing soccer and I am also a good dribbler with both feet. I can also strike with both feet. I enjoy soccer a lot, I really enjoy watching the pros on tv. I did not play soccer freshmen year for my high school because I transferred schools right in the middle of soccer so I couldn't play. My sophomore year in Florence I made the varsity team and and also started every game of the season, we got 3rd place in state. Junior year, also in varsity, I started and we went undefeated the whole season until the state championship game, we took 2nd place in state. This is my senior year and now I'm the captain of the varsity team and I am really looking forward to the soccer season and also playing in somewhere in college. My dream is to play soccer in college, the school size doesnt really matter to me as long as they have a good soccer team and good academic recognition. It would be the best ever if I could go pro. Academically my grade have always been good through high school averaging a GPA of 3.3 to 3.5. While in college I want to study either architecture, criminology and/or sport fitness.
