I believe I will bring a wealth of experience to any program having played a year in one of the most technically gifted countries in the world and training in multiple countries across Europe, in addition to having trained at a college level beginning at 15 years old. I am a very well rounded goalkeeper and am always working to maintain and improve every aspect of my game. I am a strong believer in setting goals on and off the field; this has allowed me to be a leader on almost every team I’ve play with in the past.
My dedication and mental strength are my strongest attributes. I had the goal of moving to Europe to play soccer at the highest level since my freshman year. In my senior year I attended a training camp in British Columbia where I was connected to one of the coach’s friends in The Netherlands. After graduating high school in 2015 I moved to The Netherlands where I lived and played soccer from July 2015 to April 2016. Every week day I woke up at 4:45am to be at work by 6:00am in order to afford life in Europe. I was also living alone as all my family lives in Canada. This experience gave me enormous independence and was extremely valuable in my development, not only as a goalkeeper but as a person as well. Shortly before my visa expired I made the decision to move back to North America where I can receive an education while continuing to play at the highest level possible.
Academically I plan on taking kinesiology courses that will improve my knowledge of the human body in order to continue developing myself as an athlete. I also want to use that knowledge to help other athletes achieve their athletic dreams.
