My name is Quentin Boric. I live in Madison, Alabama and I have been playing soccer with a passion and love since I could walk. It is this passion, and my desire to further my education, that I am looking for great college soccer programs to take that next step. I am currently a Freshman in college having played already one season at Tennessee Wesleyan College. While it was a good season I feel it is not the right fit for me. The relaxed atmosphere and lack of seriousness leave me constantly frustrated. I am looking for a top level program with top level dedication. I have over a decade’s worth of experience at all levels. Of those years, I have spent the past 8 years playing goalkeeper. I have a list of credentialed references who all believe that I possess the ability to contribute significantly at the college level. I feel that it is also important to share with you that goalkeeping is in my blood – literally. I am a third generation goalkeeper that has had the great benefit of being taught early on by my grandfather and father, both of whom played professionally at very high levels. I will bring a great work ethic to your team along with a unique ability to read and understand the game, and most importantly stop shots (on and off my line). I like to think of myself as being more than just a team player, but a team contributor.
My love and passion for goalkeeping and the game of soccer goes way back to my roots. My grandfather played as a professional goalkeeper in what is now Croatia and was then Yugoslavia. Trained by him was my father, who is also a goalkeeper of high caliber, he attended Old Dominion University in Virginia and spent four years in the now former NASL(North American Soccer League). This has given me the opportunity to learn first hand on and off the field what it takes to become a great goalkeeper. Its also this background that I come from that gives me such a burning desire to make it at the Collegiate level and one day hopefully the professional level. The opportunity to attend school, further my education all while doing what I love would be a dream come true. I believe if you want something enough nothing can get in your way.
I can work harder than anyone else to be the best and to reach that next step. I am competitive by nature, which means I always bring a serious attitude to the pitch. I am extremely aggressive as goalkeepers should be and I am willing to put my body on the line for my team. I always maintain a positive outlook while providing great vocal direction to my teammates and more importantly my defense. As far as character goes I do the right thing even when no one is looking. I believe if you see someone that needs help and you can provide it, help them. I often help those who need it and for no other reason then it is the right thing to do. I am a true leader and strive to give guidance to those that need it. If I am given a chance, all I need is one opportunity to prove that I would be a great asset to your team, I wont let you down.
